Our Story

MGM Lavender Farm is a private farm located in north Knox County, TN. Owned and operated by Greg and Marcee Mathews, our backgrounds in agriculture and business proved to be the right combination to start the lavender farm. With extra farmland not being used by the animals or crops, we were looking for some way to benefit the farm and community. The idea of adding lavender to the farm was born from a visit to a local festival featuring lavender.

We started with 100 plants in 2017 and have added over 400 more since then. When public events shut down in 2020, we decided to add lavender by-products. Dried lavender, soaps, sachets, candles, eye pillows, linen sprays and more are shipped throughout the country. In addition to the lavender, free range chickens and honeybees live on the farm providing honey with just a hint of lavender.

The farm also provides opportunities for photographers to bring clients for artistic portraits in the beautiful fields.
